Passport Colors vs. the Monterey Peninsula Weather
Here's how the 2027 Passport palette handles the conditions the Monterey Peninsula drivers deal with most.
Salt air
Coastal air leaves a fine salt film that shows as haze on dark paint. Platinum White Pearl and Sonic Gray Pearl hide it between washes.
Gray mornings
Under gray skies, bright colors pop and dark colors fade into the road. Sunset Orange and Platinum White Pearl are the most visible in the lineup.
Bay blue
Smoke Blue Pearl suits the Monterey Peninsula. It's new for 2027, carries no paint charge and comes on every trim.
Hot parking lots
On a bright afternoon a dark Passport soaks up more heat than a light one. Platinum White Pearl runs coolest; every trim has tri-zone automatic climate control.
Dirt in general
From hides-dirt-best to shows-dirt-most: Sonic Gray Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Ash Green Metallic, Radiant Red Metallic II, Sunset Orange, Platinum White Pearl, Smoke Blue Pearl, Crystal Black Pearl. Pearl and metallic finishes help, but a mid-tone still wins.

Which 2027 Passport Color Fits You?
Answer four quick questions and we'll match you with two colors, the trims that offer them, and a link to what's in stock.
2027 Passport Color Rules Worth Knowing
- Brown seats mean a TrailSport Elite, and one of these paints: Ash Green Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Sunset Orange and Platinum White Pearl.
- Smoke Blue Pearl pairs with black seats only on the TrailSport; elsewhere it's gray.
- Platinum White Pearl has the most pairings: 6 across the three trims.
- Premium paints (+$455): Ash Green Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic II, Sonic Gray Pearl and Sunset Orange.
- Ash Green Metallic and Sunset Orange are TrailSport and TrailSport Elite paints. The RT-L doesn't offer them.
- RT-L Black Leather goes with every RT-L paint but Smoke Blue Pearl.
- Ordering an RT-L Towing or a Blackout? Honda's chart lists the base trims, so confirm the paint with us first.
- The TrailSport has one interior, Black HondaTex™ synthetic leather with orange accents, and it comes with all 8 paints.
- RT-L Gray Leather is offered with Smoke Blue Pearl, Platinum White Pearl and Sonic Gray Pearl.
2027 Passport Color Changes
A new blue leads the list, but the TrailSport's new styling matters too.
A new blue: Smoke Blue Pearl
Smoke Blue Pearl takes over from Obsidian Blue Pearl with identical trim and interior availability, and no paint charge.
Seven paints carry over
Ash Green Metallic, Crystal Black Pearl, Modern Steel Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Radiant Red Metallic II, Sonic Gray Pearl and Sunset Orange return with the same trim and interior availability.
TrailSport styling changes how color reads
2027 TrailSport trims get more pronounced fender flares, a darker, resculpted lower front fascia and amber LED hood lights, so more of the lower body frames the paint in black.
Blackout gets black fascias
The 2027 Blackout package adds black front and rear fascias to match its black 18-inch wheels and black Honda badges. Bright paints like Sunset Orange and Platinum White Pearl show the most contrast.
